During September, the children’s ministry at Beymer and the Beymer Missions team will be working together to help homeless children in Polk County. There are about 3,000 children in Polk County who are considered homeless. Many of these students walk to school each day. The     Homeless Education Advocates of Polk County (HEARTH) are collecting umbrellas to distribute to these children to ensure they do not walk to school in the rain. Beymer will be collecting umbrellas from September 8th thru September 22nd to help with this effort.

Please only  provide donations of umbrellas (no raincoats, or boots). Our goal is to collect 30 umbrellas.

On September 30th from 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm the children will meet at Beymer and enjoy a lesson, a craft, a snack, and will hear from Ben Ruch, the Liason for HEARTH, and we will give him the umbrellas so he can distribute them to the children in need. Join us in the Fellowship on September 30th for this fun event. Please RSVP to Morgan (children@beymer.org) by September 25th.
